Converting a Marine to repower

Has anyone done a conversion of a QSB 5.9 for a repower of a truck? I think I can get my hands on a retired marine engine. Does anyone have any experience doing this?
Thanks

Normally, it's the other way around. Make sure the engine rotation is correct. Most marine engines go the other way. Another concern is the flywheel housing and flywheel. They are also often different than fan to flywheel configurations. Lastly, the governor will be different. Marine governors are constant speed and road units use limiting speed governors. Picking up a marine engine is a good deal always, but for reselling as a marine unit. Converting in either direction is expensive.
