f 350 for repower?

Well I think I might just keep the engine out of my wrecked 95 and find a nice crew cab 4x4 to put the cummins in. Only problem is where to find a nice but really cheap truck to do the repower. Im thinkin a 99 or so f-350 would do it but that may be to exspensive at this point in time. Any suggestions? Thanks Chris

finding a cheap 99+ ford crewcab is going to be tough. My only advice is if you do the swap, do not use ford-cummins.com for their mounts and other junk they sell. They dont know what they are talking about, their welds and their design suck. I got ripped off by them, but fortunately found a place called autoworld and they really know what they are doing when it comes to putting CTD's in fords.

I second that!! ^ Been there, done that.

In MY not so humble opinion it's EASY to drop a Cummer into a Ford.
I did it 3 years ago and have never looked back.

When I did my swap I tried to use an adapter from xyz and killed 2 ZF
tranny's in a hurry, they can not take the torque of the Cummins.

Check the photos in my gallery!

if anything look into the 95-98 crew cab f350because they would be cheaper than the 99. my brother just put a cummins into his 92 ext cab f350 a couple of weeks ago. took him a day to put the cummins in with fabbing his own mounts. plus there isnt any comp BS to deal with so that helps and thanks for the heads up on fordcummins. i called them looking fora tach stuff for my truck in my sig. and they said they dont have that stuff.??? though they say they can do it for the chevy too. sounds like BS place to me and kinda scary, cuz i have seen them featured in some magazines.
