Control arms question

Why do some lift kits advertise longer front control arms? What does the extra length get you? How do the dimensions compare to stock?

the higher you lift your truck the farther the STOCK arms go down and back/closer to the rear of the front fender....causing rub
so the adjustable arms can be moved forward to compensate for that.
clear as mud?

That makes sense. So I guess the length needed will depend on the installation.

When you move the axle forward do you need to get an extended front driveshaft?

unless it is a HUGE lift, your front D-line should be just fine
