Computers wiring harness same for 4.5-06 5.9 diesels?
I'm going to start looking for an engine at the auto wreckers in Montana and need to know if there is anything I need to look for from year to year?
Mine is a 05, are they all the same from 04.5-early 07 5.9? Should a guy just be able to do a straight swap?

You may have to change the front cover due to the way the fan mounts to the engine. The wiring harness won't be the same but you can use all the stuff off your old engine. You will have to swap over the ECM due to vin programing etc.
