Clutch replacement time
Unfortunately it is time to replace the clutch on my truck. Have successfully used LUK in the past and now am using ValAir but not happy with it or their lousy customer service. Does anybody have any suggestions as to the most durable clutch for about 400 hp? I know South Bend is an option, but expensive. What about Center Force, EFT, McLeod or others?
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I ordered 5 South Bend single disc clutches about 10 years ago from Peter the owner of South Bend. I have finally used them all now, but almost all of my trucks have a SBC clutch in them with less than 50,000 miles on them.
I used the Con-O in several of my trucks and the Con-OFE in a couple of the trucks that tow heavy, often along with make a lot of power.
The Con-O is rated for 400HP and 800 FT LBS IIRC. The think the OFE is 500HP and 1,000 FT LBS
One truck I sold after I put 100,000 miles on, a lot of which was towing a 10,000 trailer.
None of them ever gave me any problem. I do drive them pretty easy, no speed shifting, clutch slipping, boosted launches, ETC. I drive it like a powerful work truck not a 7000# muscle car.

Thanks Oliver for the info. After much head scratching and digging around on the internet, think that I will order the SBC 1947-ORHD Dyna Max Organic clutch kit with a new flywheel. The CON-OFE is certainly an option, but is perhaps a bit more than I need for my measly estimated 400 HP plus is a bit more costly. Don't do any more towing either. Going to do a bit more noodling, but so far don't see any other options.
Unfortunately for this job will need to farm it out. Have the knowledge and the tools to do the job, but that tranni is too heavy for me to handle on my own. Don't have a tranni jack and can't find where to rent one.

An update to this saga.
Have just ordered a new South Bend performance clutch for my truck. Wanted the flywheel to go with it but the shipping was exorbitantly expensive and consequently reluctantly decided to use the old flywheel.
The ValAir clutch presently on my truck only lasted a dismal 18,000 miles before starting to slip. No heavy loads and no towing. The previous LuK clutch lasted over 100,000 miles which included towing my 12,000 pound RV in mountainous country. Am totally disgusted with this lousy ValAir clutch and the non-existant ValAir customer service. No response from customer service, so wrote to the ValAir president and he ignored my email just like his customer service did. Never again any ValAir product!!!!!!!!
Ordered the new South Bend clutch from Summit Racing and that company now and with past orders have been absolutely super in bending over backwards in helping me, answering all my many questions and with fast shipping.
