To whoever has a Mu-13-1.25 con ofe, does it work well when backing up a loaded trailer well?? Any problems with it chattering when backing up slow with heavy load?? Any other dislikes or put my mind at ease with some positive comments. I am in need and have talked with both Luk pro gold and the south bend owners. Thanks Rick

 

Sorry this is kindof off-topic of your question, but what did the LuK owner have to say about his clutch? Ive got one also (Pro-Gold) that I put in for a stock replacement before major BOMBing on the mind, but its holding ok with the added hp. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

 

I have only talked with the owners of the company's, not the owner's of any of the clutches themselves. I do hope to hear from some of them. How much hp are you making with your progold in and is it really holding? Do you tow any heavy loads? Thanks Rick

 

I have this same clutch, have had it in for about a month now and would recommed it, I also pull a toyhouse 5th wheel and have had excellant results. The clutch was a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

 

Thanks Larry, I was hoping to hear some more positive results about it than I have gotten. Especially in the area of backing up a heavy load when needing to go slow as in heavy bucking and such. Thanks again.... Rick

 

My pro-gold is holding fine, but I'm worried about adding power. I don't tow heavy loads regularly, maybe 6-7k every now and then. I haven't put the truck on the dyno so I don't know how much its actually holding, but Ive got an advertised 100+ hp plate on my 215 pump with 38"s and 4.10s and haven't slipped it yet and Im not easy on it. However, I wouldnt recommend getting this clutch if youve got big power in mind, it's smooth as hell and been great with maybe 30k on it, but like I said...Im worried about whether it will hold with a set of 370s since I havent heard of many people with this clutch. I guess I'll find out though.
