Clicking felt in Steering wheel and gas pedal

I feel a clicking in the steering wheel like something is loose. The dealer says he does not feel anything. Does anyone else have this? Sometimes I can feel it in the gas pedal as well.

I've got the same clicking that you're referring to. Can be felt through the wheel. When my truck was under warranty, I got the same response from the dealer. I've learned to live with it, but I am curious to know what it is.

I've been getting a "click" feeling thru the steering. At first it was while towing, now when unloaded also.
I'm thinking somethings wearing in the front end. I haven't had a chance to check it yet.

Same thing. I tend to get it while slightly turning. was going to go to the dealer but feel they wont be able "repeat" the issue.

I've had the same problem for awhile now. I think I've narrowed it down to the driver side wheel bearing/hub assembly on mine. I took it up to a friend of mine's shop thinking it might be ball joints, and it wasn't. Found out the wheel bearings on the driver side have some slack up and down, and side to side. So ordering the hub assembly next week, and hopefully that will fix it. We'll see

You guys might try having somebody turn your steering wheel back and forth with the engine running, while you look under the front of the truck at the driver side track bar mount. It may be "wallowing" out. It is a common problem on our trucks. I know mine had a "popping" sound due to that.

Lazarsmith sells the "Ultimate Track Bar Hardware Kit" which will fix it.

Keep us posted on whether this fixes it or not. After pricing the wheel bearing/ hub assemblies I hope this is not what's going on... I've just learned to live with it, but if it is edging towards a catastrophic failure, I better get with it.

Mine's always done it.
Did it new.
Did it after the front-end recall.
Still does it after the Carli installation.
Just thought it was normal...?

The clicking that you are refering to may be the front axle u-joints.

You can easily check them by turning the front driveshaft back and forth and looking for movement in the u-joint located at the steering knuckle.

Could be the intermediate steering shaft binding up.

Mine popped while turning the wheel and you could feel it through the wheel and floor. Took it in and was a tie rod end. Sounded like it was a fairly common occurance because the tie rod ends are sealed and non greasable but are prone to leaking which allows water in and seizes them up due to lack of grease. Mine did it worse when I hit a bump while turning. Was not loose rater seised up. My mechanic (which I trust) said there was nothing he could find origially when I took it in but after having him drive it for a day he found the tie rod end. Maybe thats why the dealer cant find the problem....or they dont want to find it.
