Unhappy "Clank" shifting to Reverse or taking foot off accelerator

Multiple sounds here....but when I shift the truck into reverse (2005 2500 RAM Automatic Trany) I heard a loud "CLANK" like dropping a hollow iron pipe onto the ground. None of the other gears, when shifting make this sound. Also seem to hear a similar "CLANK" when taking the foot off the accelerator. I can keep it from happening if I remove my foot slowly or slowly decelerate. Any thoughts??? U JOINT?

Welcome to DTR..

Park it on the driveway in neutral with the parking brake on and get under there and check u-joints ect. How many miles on your truck?
