Check Gauges "Light"

Every once in a while I get my Check Gauges "Light" to blink for only a second and no more than 2 times in a row. I have no codes and the truck seems normal and all gauges look right.....so I'm not sure if I should be worried. What do you all think this might be.

it's tuff to tell what it could be since you don't get any codes. If the truck is running fine & you don't have any codes, there is really nothing that you can do about it. The only thing it could be is the light could be grounding out somewhere, but you would have to pull the dash to back track the wires to see if you can find out where its grounding out.

I did a search on this last year when my 03 was doing it. Seems it was fairly common.

So I take it that the light is grounding out somewhere and that I really shouldnt need to be concerned.

Their is a TSB out on that problem. The dealer has a program reflash to fix it. But if everything else is OK, you might want to just live with it. Because the dealer will install the "latest" program code which includes that infamous "honk the horn if not in park and the door is open" recall fix.
