Mine did the VIN not in ECM thing too. At first I was worried but after reading here I'm not worried. From what I've seen some have it and some don't. I also get the security key thing too.

Had both of them before the Smarty and after.

The VIN not in ECM popped up again after I went back to stock on the Smarty so I could change the Smarty over to stock TM/aftermarket injectors for smoke control. The truck also died right when I went back to stock when it threw that code but fired right back up and I've never had an issue since. I've read about a couple other members having the exact same thing happen to them.

I've never ran mine on anything but SW1 for mileage so I don't know if that was a factor.

Good to know that its a common thing I guess.
