Can't get high idle to work

I have a December 04 Dodge with the 555 engine. I've grounded the #22 pin and have a Smarty Revo program loaded. I can't get the high idle to work. With the pin grounded will my clutch switch still work? Any suggestions?

305/555 it the motor that was used pre 2004.5 and was considered the HO motor for 2003(I believe).

Correct! The 2003 and early model year 2004 H.O engines are rated at 305 hp/555 ft.-lb torque. The 2004.5' HO engines are rated at 325hp/ 600ft./lb torque.

OK. I've never hear anyone use the second number. Always the first.

It has to be enabled AND activated. Smarty only activates the feature. You will need a delaer with a StarScan tool to enable the feature. Most of the manual trucks shipped with the feature disabled and deactivated so its a 2 step process, one of which the dealer has to do.

I see. So I'm certain this isn't going to be cheap. Anyone in the Northern Virginia area with a scan tool?

StarScan is a dealership device..not the same as a code scanner. More than likely a dealer is the only place that is gonna have it. My dealer will only charge 1/2hr shop labor for something like that. So figure $35-$50 depending on their rates.

Am I missing something? I thought with the 6-speeds you had to ground a pin on the ECM to get the feature to work. Are you saying that the dealer can enable it with a StarScan without any physical modifications?

Yes, the dealer can enable and activate it in the ECU. It won't work until pin #22 is grounded with the pig tail or the clutch switch is added.
