Can you clean/repair a sticky bad fca?

i have a fca on my tuck thats 1 yr old and its working. but lately i find it sticks because when i let off fuel pedal truck keeps going another 5 seconds or so. the extra one i have is old but it didnt fail i just replaced it because.anyways should i just plop the old one back in or can i clean it/take apart? also sometimes theres a miss at highway speeds. could it be fca or AC wires rubbed thru?

Oh you;ve got to be kidding me. Mine does the same thing! Everything I read said it was normal for the drive by wire, but it could be the FCA? What else are symptoms of a bad FCA?

I would first be looking at resetting the apps ( accelerator position sensor). Do a search on how to reset it as this will give you the symtoms you are describing.

Is that the same for all 3rd gens, since in 06 they switched to a pedal mounted APPS?
