I know that some trannies are checked in park but Dodge has always been neutral. Why would say GM and Dodge be different, aren't all auto's similar in this respect?

From what I recall, there's a section in the truck's manual that explains how over-filling the transmission is just as bad as under-filling it.

dont want to argue about the book,but 40 years plus 15 years of racing has got to mean something. use the book as a starting point then do what works.
