Question what problems if any on 05 3500 six speed

1. How many miles can I get out of the clutch w/ avg. driving?
2. Any problems that I should watch out for w/ this truck?
3. How would I find out what gears I have in my 3500?

It depends on which transmission you have. The NV5600 or G56. The G56 only comes with 3.73's and the NV5600 could have 3.73 or 4.10's. What is the build date on the truck? Manual transmission changed mid year to the G56 from what i have read.

All in the driving/driver/load/performance.

4wd or 2wd?

Glovebox should tell you what gears you have.

Ball joints and the bearings up front are crap. You may want to look into the kit from Dynatrack when your bearings go out up front.

Also, AC problems.....Defrost door will break. And there is a rumoe around about injectors on teh 03's going bad. Mine have 150k HARD miles, and no prob's yet on them.

Never mind about injectors, you have an 05

I see that you have auto meter gauges where did you mount the probe for the EGT pre turbo or on the down pipe?

To tell what trans it has reverse on NV is up and to the right and G56 is down and to the left. I have a whole season pulling with a G56 and seem to be pretty tough. 20+ hooks and over 650 hp and 35" Mud Grapplers.

I had problems with my clutch not releasing properly from the start, it took 2 trips to the shop (warranty) to fix it, 1st trip they replaced the flywheel do to an imbalance problem. 2nd they replaced the master/slave cylinder which was the problem all along.

A Jake E-Brake is in the future as I pull some heavy goose necks every now and then. Love the truck I get 19-20 hwy MT now and 13-15 depending on the trailer load.
