Cali emissions

Cali emissions

I am thinking abaut buying a larmie...but it has california emissions. Does anybody know what this is? I know their is a sensor in the exhaust, but thats it. If I modify my exhaust will if effect anything? Any performance losses, ect. thanks for the help

Nope Just a different cat I think and maybe slightly different in fuel delivery. So you can change the exhaust. I am not sure about the 07 6.7

Both of the trucks in my sig are 03's that have the California emmisions. They are SO (standard output) which put out 235 hp instead of the HO's which put out 305 hp I beleive. Their are some other small things that the SO's and HO's differ in(engine wise).

If your worried about the loss of power a simple box can be added to bring it back up to par. I've had no issues with my truck in the 80k miles i've had it. You should be fine with a SO if the truck is realy what you want.

I have an 06' with "California Emissions" and all I can think of different was the cat performance...after I changed to an aftermarket exhaust, I couldn't tell a difference between our two trucks...

All 2006's have Federal 50state legal emissions on them.

You get a sticker under the hood that states it meets Ca standards for that year.
