Bypass Filter Placement
Bypass Filter Placement
I need help in placement of my AmsOil Bypass Filter system.
I have seen drilling the frame, (questionable?),
Top of the engine with fabricated mount. Looks good but will the vibration break the mount
Any suggestions from the masses would be welcome....

Put mine above front stabilizer bar on passenger side, drilled it into frame rail with 4, 1/4inch holes don't think it'll hurt frame . Have no problems so far. take a look at my photo gallery for picture. hope this helps.
I know you have the 4" lift, I only have a 2" leveling setup. Do you think the Filters are able to be hit or in your opinion they are protected from road debris?. Your truck is SWEET
. I have also seen a top engine set up, but am worried about vibration..

Before anything got to the filters it would have to demolish the stabilizer bar. Maybe under worst case scenario something could get up that high and puncture the filters, I am not worried though. There are other things on truck that are lower to ground that could get wrecked by road debri. If you decide to put your system in same location as mine you might want to pre fit everything, my trucks lift kit lowers the front stabilizer[sway] bar about 2 inches. Your truck might not have the clearance under the sway bar. Hope this helps, good luck.
