Anybody using a bypass system?<br>What type of oil are you using, and how often do you change oil?

 

Amsoil dual bypass...changed synthetics by samples only...last shange had 60K miles and samples were still good to go ..but I didn't want to go further than that..I drove 72 miles one way to work...now retired

 

I installed the Amsoil By-pass filter system and Amsoil 5W-30 HDD motor oil with 5000 miles on the odometer. I change the full flow filter at 10K intervals and the by-pass element at 20K intervals. I have been doing oil analysis every 10K miles and now have 50K+ miles on the oil in a little over 2 years and oil is still good to go not to mention low wear metals. I will most likely keep the oil in until oil analysis says it's time to change.
