Broken Radiator Drain Plug

Help. Opened the radiator drain today for a coolant change. When I went to close the drain it would not tighten, just spun. When I tried to pull it out to check the O rings only the stem/**** portion came out. Now the other portion is stuck in the radiator? Ordered a new drain valve from dodge but need some idea's on what to do w/ the piece still in the radiator.

See if you can't push the peice you have back in there. When you go to tighten the plug, you have to push up on it to get the threads to bite, other wise it just spins.

epoxy it shut for good, if u cant easily fix it. The next time u need to drain rad, just pull the lower hose...although its never happened to me, if it did, i wouldn't let it bother me. ive drained and filled mine a couple of times and those plugs r flimsey.

I have heard that you can find a good replacement unit in the Help! section of carquest.

I have heard that the "Help" section of AutoZone also carries them.
