Bought truck new. just got 100,000 miles on her. Factory brakes just now need changing. disk rotors are warped.Disk rotors have alot of wear.what rotors should i get if going new.....factory or after market?

First off, are you sure they are warped? You cannot tell by pedal feel any more. You need to put a dial indicater on them.

But, with 100K on them, they're probably worn enough to warrant replacement. The best bang for the buck is Duralast from Autozone. $62, 2 yr warranty. They work as well as anything else on the market, and better than many of the trick parts.

 

The brakes feel like they have high spots on rotor when stopping

 

Pulsations are often an uneven transfer layer of pad material...

 

Need to mic them out to see if after you turn them they will still pass spec. Most of the time that number is stamped into the rotor if you can see it.

 

Get QUALITY replacement rotors.
