I run Biodiesel in my 06. So far no problems and haven't noticed any difference in power or mpg. I went with the homebiodieselkits dot com.

Freedom Fueler with the dry wash system, does a 40 gallon batch. It was just under $4000, but my truck is my daily driver, so I spend about $5000 to $6000 a year in fuel. They are real nice and helpful people. My first batch cost me a $1.11/gallon, including the motor fuel tax. Less that $1.00 a gallon minus motor fuel tax.

My dads company has has an 05 and 06 cummins both are running on wvo. They have a 500 gallon farm fuel tank they fill 375 gallons of wvo and 75 gallons of kerosene. The trucks havent had any problems except a fuel filter clog after the first 100 miles but ever since then everything is perfect. They buy the veggie oil already screened and dewatered for $2.50 a gallon and then figure in the cost of kerosene makes it $2.74 a gallon. The best part is the trucks are all stock no modifications were made to run on veggie oil. The trucks mpg went from 22.3 on a 05 3500 2wd srw to 27.1 on the overhead, I went 818 miles on 32.3 gallons which is a little over 25 mpg hand calculated. So far they have about 2500 miles with no problems, the only difference is the truck is a little quieter, has a little less performance and it smells like fried chicken.

The fuel filter was a WIX im not sure how many microns, the truck still blows black smoke but not thick smoke like it did with diesel and only when you really are on the throttle which I hardly ever do. The veggie oil comes from a guy in atlanta his name is orin he delivers it to us, you have to have atleast 100 gallons before he will deliver. I have a friend that makes his own bio diesel and he gets it from restaurants but he says its a messy job collecting it and the veggie oil is all over the bed of his truck. If you could find someone to buy it from it might be better as long as you know they have taken all the necessary steps to process it.

I can be a little hard getting the oil, but I am starting to get more contacts. They give it to me for free and put it in 5 gallon pickle buckets. That way I don't have to get everything messy picking up the oil.

I have an 05 5.9 and am running anywhere from 50-100% biodiesel (not to be confused with WVO or WVO + additives). Changed my fuel filter after ~2 tanks of it....no problems.

I can purchase B20 biodiesel from the pump for $3.99 per gallon, or B99 Biodiesel for $3.69 per gallon (in Tucson). I've been running mine at about 5% bio because of the low cetane ratings in our crap fuel. At 5% the truck runs a bit smoother, I'm not sure about the MPG yet.

I've been running 100% bio for 2 years now without any problems. I make myself and have had good luck with it. The Biodiesel runs great except for the dogs triing to take a bite out of my truck and the fact that I always get hungry while driving.
