Biodiesel
Biodiesel
I did some searching here and still am not quite sure on which way I sould go. There is a GetGo gas station very close to my work that sells Bio-diesel ,B20 and above according to thier website. I have a 2004.5 that I normally run regular diesel in...but today I gave the bio-diesel a shot. Well...the truck seems to be quieter and I am seeing #'s on the lie-o-meter (mpg display) that I have never seen before...mind you I have only driven it approx 40 miles since the fill. Any input?...Is this safe to run in my truck?
Very safe to run but you need to carry an extra fuel filter as it may become plugged at first as it may clear away any debris in the fuel system.
In very cold weather you might have a problem with gelling.
I wish there was a station that has B10 or B20 nearby as I would use it. I would discontinue the use of 2-stroke oil.

I get B99 in the northland here, have been running it for months and months in the warm weather. Cold weather they switch to B20 with the winter additives. Purrs like a kitten. No issues, none what so ever. Every now and then due to location I fill with non bio diesel and it just don't purr the same. Same story on The Princess's Jeep Liberty Diesel.
