It happend during a long drive towing a 8k trailer in hot weather and mountain terrain. It came on with a ding...ding...ding sound, but only lasted a minute or so with everything working fine after the next shut down start up cycle. Has anyone had this happen before?
I did have a half second 3500 RPM redline incident after forcing a down shift in second (AT tranny) going 65 or so, could they be related?

 

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the WTS issue is well known.

Bump! I am still experiencing the same symptoms after an ECM flash at the dealer.

Any know if they have a fix yet?

 

I have a call in to Bob Wagner from Smarty now, I hope he can help with the updated software.
I removed the Smarty and the light went off and hasn't come back since.
