I run the Transforce H/T's as well and paid JUST under $1200 for 7 of them (I always include my spare when rotating) and have about 47k on mine currently and they are due for a change, up here in the snow belt I cant be running in the snow and slush with tires below the wear bars plus the fact that ince I do haul commercially if I get stopped with tires that low I can be cited for them.

I am seriously considering bigger wheels but dont think I would go with 22.5's since I dont want to get a leveling kit for my truck and I have read that some people have gotten the 19.5's off of like bread trucks and such and just got the hub hole bored out a bit so that would definately be a cheaper start up. But then again you dont get as many miles out of 19.5's that you would the 22.5's but cheaper is cheaper.

I run 265/70r19.5's and the spare fits underneath --- just barely! You have to have the tire turned just right so the shoulder lugs don't get hung up some way or other, but once they're turned just right the spare fits like it was made to be there.

 

Well the 4500 and 5500 rams are running 19.5s right?

 

I have 75,000 miles on my 22.5 Michelines and they have about 75% tread left. I expect to get 200,000 from the rear and about 150,000 from the front. I run drive tires in the back and steer tires up front, so rotation is out of the question for me. No mileage increase or decrease as I tow fairly heavy (35,000 GVW) most of the time. I also have a Blizard 810 up front (Approximately 1200 lbs) and I did not have to put a leveling kit on for them to fit.

spare on 4500/5500 isnt mounted the same as 3500,they have a 52 gallon fuel tank at the rear

 

I wasnt asking about the spare. The other guy was talking about the spare and how it fits under his truck. I was wondering if the 4500 and 5500s were running 19.5s as their standard issue tires?

Yeah for sure. I am the one that started the thread for the houston chapter. We had one get together a while back at the hooters on 1960 but I havent been able to make anything since the first one we setup. I think they have done a few things since I left, SNIFF SNIFF

I get approximately 9 - 11 depending if I run 65 or 80. Average is around 10, but as you can see, I put the fuel too it.
