When I first bought my 03' I purchased a BIG paper element airfilter from NAPA that was the smaller version of the BHAF that the 2002's use....this filter fit perfectly in the engine bay of my 03' with the OE airbox removed. The other day I went to NAPA to buy a replacement and it looks as though they cannot get it anymore. We looked in the 2004 book and all it showed was the BHAF that fits the 02's, but not the smaller version I have now. I even called the company that made it and they tell me it's no longer. There is not a part number on the filter I have now so it makes it a bear to chase down a replacement. Do any of you all have a connection that sells these filters, or know of a company that makes one comparable to it? I like the fact that it's very HD and has a hard plastic end to mount the air temp sensor on....not to mention ot filters quite well. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

well... my 04 has the same bhaf filter that the 02 use... it is a very tight fit but with some trimming [removing the inner fender plastic guard and cutting off the one stock airbox battery holder mount] it fits... pic's are in my sig... and a water resistant outerwears is on the way for it...
