I get mine at Autozone. I try to wait until they have it on sale for $9.99 a gallon and buy 6. If not the regular price is $13.99.

At least that is the cheapest in my area.

This looks like a good deal but how many gallons are in a case? It doesn't say or does it? Anyone know?

Typically it's 6 gallons per case.

I've purchased the Premium Blue from my local Oreilly's store. They had the $9.99/gal special that month.

Doing a random search, it looks like Valvoline uses 4 gal/case. Note 100% certain on that but it seems to be the trend.

Six would be awesome with free shipping!

Thanks for the link! I just ordered a case. When ever I see it that cheap I have to get some!

A case is always 4 gallons with Valvoline.

tn diesel

I have always been a valvoline man, in all my gas vehicles.

but i have started using the shell rotella 10w40 diesel oil.

seems to be good oil.

when i got my truck, dealership had just changed the oil and used O'Relieys hd diesel oil, so far so good.

Question:
any reason for valvoline over shell rotella??????????

I will run Rotella, Valvoline, Delo or Mobile Delvac in my truck without hesitation. These brands are trusted. In my family, Rotella filled everything. For some reason though it makes my truck smell oily....hence the term "Rosmella". You'll see that now and again. The oil itself performs fine. I had it analyzed and it came back good.

The deciding factor for me is which can I find for the best price? Other than that, I'm flexible with my choice.

Started using Valvoline when I 1st bought my truck.Last year I switched to Mobile turbo diesel truck 15-40 which is synthetic. But costs about double to Valvoline. This spring I went back to Val to save $$.Autozone had it on sale 13.99.Have also used Delo & delvac1300 all good.

Valvoline Premium Blue is what the truck is shipped with from the factory new. The oil analysis results are always good and it has been tested extensively by Cummins. That's not to say other dino oils are not as good, but for me it is all the reason I need to continue using it. It is all my truck as ever had, but I would not hesitate to use one of the above oils if I was in a pinch somehow.

Got my Valvoline Blue from Wal mart delivered to my door (Fedex) for $44--it's a case which = 4 gallons. I think that's a pretty good deal--gonna order more before it goes up

Don't get the Blue

Get the Classic. It has the CI and CI+4. It can be ordered and I believe it's smallest quantity is 5 gal. Oils that lack these properties are what is killing the cam lobes and causing them to spall (flaking).

I use the Valvoline PB, because of price, and it's a syn blend. Discount has it for $14, but Napa has it for $10. Since I pass 2 different Napa stores on my way to and from
Work, I get it from them.
