I need some help with BD aux lift pump. The oil pressure switch for the kit. I can't see the plug in the block on the drivers side near the power steering pump they talk about in the directions. I do see a plug on the passengers side just below and to the rear of the oil filter.Can this plug be used for the oil pressure switch? I have a e-mail into BD but have heard nothing back as of yet

I'm not sure if you can use the one on the pass. side but the one on the drivers side is there,it's the one I used and it's a bit of a pain to get to,if I remember correctly it's right by the motor mount.

 

I also used the one on the driver's side and yes it was a pain to get at but not imposable. Why use a different one, are you mounting the pump on that side?

 

Mine worked out good on the driver's side.

 

Get rid of the silver filter before the lift pump!! That will be the first place to jell up in the cold.

 

Thanks for the info I will try again to locate it. ALCORR that's is a nice setup you have there. I may have to mount on the passenger side because of room .I installed a Super Cooler in the area in front of the fuel tank.

I got this at a heavy duty trucks parts store. Cost me just under $50 with the filter.

 

Baldwin calls this their water separator fuel filter head #FB1311, then I had to add 4 bolts, plus the fittings at each end.

 

I went to Wally World and got two 6 inch brackets.

 

 

It looks easy now that it's done but it wasn't easy finding enough space to mount everything. Getting the filter high enough and out off the frame rail so everything could pass under it. The filter is a Baldwin #BF1212, 4 micron with a water separator. I'm still looking for a 2 micron with water separator if anyone knows the number.

Oh ya, I know I'm not to drill holes in the frame rail.

I have seen a little less fuel pressure at start-up, know thats it's been getting cold. I ran that strainer all last winter with no problem. What would you recommend in it's place.

I also use the best additive all winter, haven't started yet, still using 1 qt. of 2 stroke each tank. Think I better change to my winter blend.
