Ball joint help

I have 05 Ram 2500 with about 49k and the front right tire started to have a lot of wear in the center of the tire. I took it to the Les Schwab to have the tires looked at and I'm being told that my ball joints and bearings are wore out. Truck was lifted with a 3" kore lift and 33" Toyo tires. Are the stock ball joints week? I know the tires and lift add stress but it seems that this is really quick for the ball joints and bearings to wear out. I found lots of great info on here how to replace but wondering what what the best ball joints to buy? Should I consider Carli, Moggs, other recomendations? I'm also wondering if these are caused from my KORE lift. I also had to replaced the u joint on the axel last year. Kinda of frustrated since my truck has such low miles. What causes the wear? Heavy tires? Looking for some input. Between the ball joints and bearings looking at $2,000. I'm conisdering trying to do the work my self but realize I need to do some more research. Thanks for the advice.

I replaced mine with Dynatrac Ball joints and have been real happy with them so far. I don't recall hearing any negative about them.

The stock ones are pretty weak. I have heard lots of negative about the Moogs. Carli's are good but $$$.

It's a little unusual for the ball joints to go out that early, but it's not uncommon either.

My stock balljoints bit the dust at 36k with stock susp and tires. Replaced under warranty and again at 60k. Replaced yet again and those let go at 86k. I finally put XRF's in when I put my 35's on and at 101k Im still good. Factory balljoints are not that great. 98% of my driving is on paved roads with the occasional washboard dirt road and snowy roads and some hunting trips where 4x4 is used.

86k miles and everything was shot. I used McQuay-Norris extreme ball joints. Upper and lowers are greasable.

Ditto, and they are rebuildable and greaseable.

49k is high for stock ball joints, especially if you drive on dirt roads.. However, the center of the tires wearing out before the edges could be too much air pressure. It's tempting to run them at 65 psi for a 1-2 mpg gain but new tires are actually more expensive in the long run. I've heard lots of good (and a little bad) about XRF ball joints.

I would look into the Dynatrac or Carli ball joints only. Both are high quality. I just installed Carli upper and lower Bj's and have been really happy with them.

Dynatrac on mine for the past 30K miles. Worth every penny for the fact they are rebuild-able and you won't have to do that crap job of pressing them out ever again!

IF your wear is the center of tire it is over aired!! If it is wearing on in side or out side you have somthing wrong.

What ever brand you decide on make sure you can grease them. The biggest problem IMO with the factory is that it is all sealed nonsense.
