Baffle removal
Baffle removal
I was thinking on removing the baffle from the intake but i was wondering if it can harm my truck because sometimes i go to pipe yards that are extremely dusty, will the oem imtake keep the dust out?

I don't have a 3rd gen, but I suspect the intake is pretty similar, if so, the baffle is there to minimize sound, the filter is there to catch all the particles. I removed my baffle to open up the intake a bit. It did create a bit of a "whistle". If you are getting dust in your intake, you need to look at the filter or intake top/tube for holes or cracks.

the white nylon baffles in the elbow are straightening vanes, they along with the silencer ring reduce side shear in the compressor side of the turbo giving increased turbo efficiency.
