Bad vibration=Injector(s) starting to die?
Bad vibration=Injector(s) starting to die?
Just curious to see if anyone else has had a similar experience like this and what the outcome/fix was.
I had to shut the truck off yesterday in the drivethru so the person on the mic could hear my order correctly
. After ordering I fired it back up and noticed it took an extra second of cranking to light off. No biggie, its done this before but this time it started vibrating really bad. Like shaking the whole truck bad. It runs fine, no white smoke or anything and the vibration is only at idle, odd. I checked my oil when I got home and there was no extra oil or diesel smell either. Also there are no codes present.
Since the truck has 290,000kms and is on the original injectors, I'm thinking an injector is on its way out? I'm going to call a local injection shop today and see what testing/rebuilding them costs.
I just hate throwing parts at this thing since I have no diagnostic software, so if anyone has some insight I'd love to hear it
