!! Bad u Joint !!
The center u joint went out in the two piece drive line .. I got off the freeway and was costing to a stop and the truck started to vibrate like crazy... at first I thought the rearend went out... The dealer is changing the joint under war ,I have 58k on the truck.. New our old they all break soon our later..

I lost the same joint last thurs. same situation, got off the highway and pulled away from the light and the truck felt like it had square tires :shocked:
do me a favor and check the build date on your truck and ask them to keep the joint so you can see it.
mine had a plug of hardened grease that felt like plastic jammed about .5 or .75" from the edge of the cross. I was at 53,000, and my build date was 10-02. I'm curious if they got a bad batch of joints and we may start seeing alot of failures once more guys hit 50,000+ miles
This is at least the 4th joint I have heard of and 3 of us are a few miles over 52,000 the 4th was over 100,000.
I had 2 dealers deny warrenty and the third fixed it with no deductable. I think there was supposed to be a $100 deduct, but I wasn't going to argue
page 10 of the warrenty information booklet that came with your truck says it's covered under the 7/70,000

I didnt see the old joint ,but I did notice that one of the u joint caps had grease comming out of it and the other cap looked dry...

Wow, if I had to pay 100 bucks for a deductible, I would have changed the U joint myself. I couldn't imagine it costing nearly that much. Most U joints I have replaced have been under 30 bucks a piece.
