Nope...I thought it was the center support at first... I dint feel any play in the joint but the dealer said it was bad.. The drive line was vibrating up and down real bad when i ran it on jack stands and spun the back tires... When i was at the dealer I went under a new truck and felt the play in the center support on a new truck and it was the same as mine..

I lost the same joint last thurs. same situation, got off the highway and pulled away from the light and the truck felt like it had square tires
do me a favor and check the build date on your truck and ask them to keep the joint so you can see it.

mine had a plug of hardened grease that felt like plastic jammed about .5 or .75" from the edge of the cross. I was at 53,000, and my build date was 10-02. I'm curious if they got a bad batch of joints and we may start seeing alot of failures once more guys hit 50,000+ miles

This is at least the 4th joint I have heard of and 3 of us are a few miles over 52,000 the 4th was over 100,000.

I had 2 dealers deny warrenty and the third fixed it with no deductable. I think there was supposed to be a $100 deduct, but I wasn't going to argue

page 10 of the warrenty information booklet that came with your truck says it's covered under the 7/70,000

Wow, if I had to pay 100 bucks for a deductible, I would have changed the U joint myself. I couldn't imagine it costing nearly that much. Most U joints I have replaced have been under 30 bucks a piece.

Yeah...
try $133 for just the stupid joint...I'd happily pay $100 and sit in the waiting room with my laptop
