Aw crap, diff fluid coming out around the wheels again...
Well a couple of months ago I posted a thread on here explaining about what I *thought* was a leaking rear axle seal that turned out to be a rotor/hub assembly split. Well I got it replaced under warranty from the dealer that did the work. Turns out both sides were split and they put in a new seal on the one side. Great, it cost me nothing in the end and I'm a happy customer.
Fast forward a few months to yesterday and I'm out at my grandparent's farm for Christmas and I noticed some dark spots on the inside of my rims... Sure enough its diff fluid. I haven't popped the tire off yet to see what it is exactly but I have a feeling its the rotor/hub again.
So I guess here is my question (sorry for the rant
). Should my problem in fact be the rotor, what brand of rotors are made of GOOD quality of steel. I think the dealer put on the cheapest set they could find AKA made in China and thats why its happening. I'm not afraid to spend a bit of money here to make this fix the last one I do.
Thanks guys!

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
I'm sure the dealer used OEM parts for any warranty repair. If it was done two months ago, it would still be under mopar warranty at worst. Unless of course you are beating the heck out of your investment. JMHO
wrongo! Where i work at (autozone) we sell rotors pads, alternators belts etc to the ford, mopar, Gm etc dealerships in town. I was pretty ****** when i saw that happening.

If they have a cheapo customer on a customer pay job sure.Chrysler audits ensure the dealer purchases enough factory parts to do all the warranty claims it gets paid for.The dealers make a pretty good mark up from Chrysler on warranty parts sale.........no need to buy your cheapy chit
Bob
only time they order parts from a 3rd party company ie napa autozone is when the the chrysler parts dept is out of stock, and they need to get the vehicle done or want the job and only have parts for half the job..ie first hand experience on this
But with any chrysler warrenties dealers are required to use mopar parts...they cannot use a 3rd party company with warrenty claims

I have to call BS on that

Sorry for long story... but this above dealer's repair lasted briefly...found myself nearly stranded...when the front diff broke. spewing gear oil ..banging etc. Chrysler would not tow nor would the above dealer...(Told me to drive it there in that condition) I did....banging away some 15 -20 mph...over 30 miles away from dealership...so, they could Repair again. ONLY for them to screw it up again (the service manager told me that they must have received some defective parts...B.S.) the handling/noises..did not seem normal after this.....so I had to take it to another dealership.. Pay for a tear down...have a Chrylser Service rep inspect.. found that something was not set up properly and the housing was now messed up so badly that new parts installed would not hold up to tolerences.....so a brand new diff and internals were installed.(expensive bill to chrylser I was told)....PROBLEM SOLVED!!.... Few years later....the "problem 5 star Dealership went out of business"
Bottom line..NOT all but a lot of..DEALERSHIPS DO AND WILL Sneak (invoice warranty/cut cost any way they can get paid. both from warranty and or customer) NON-OEM parts/materials and service procedures. IF the customer is unaware of it. You would think that a dealership would be Required from the manufacture to disclose the fact to their customers when they do in fact use non manuf. requested parts or lubricants!! Customer beware
