Sounds good DNAT. Just make sure you price out an SLT with the features you actually want, including leather, before jumping right to the Laramie. As for the "less work to drive" and the "marital relations" thing, they've been independent of one another since the kids came along. Ahhh youth :P

Dealseeker, I hear ya! ;D

I tried to spec an SLT with leather AND the heated seats but the dealer kept on telling me the computer wouldn't let him put it in. Checking the brochure DC just sent me, I see the heated seats in an SLT are "late availability". Just how late is late? Does anybody know? I would rather just get an SLT and the leather (with heat!) separately. Better value I think and I like the chrome grille. Anybody have pics of Partiot Blue on Silver?

Cheers all,
DT

Here's Patriot Blue over silver attached. I thought I read somewhere that Patriot Blue is being discontinued.

DNAT

In the US of A you can only buy a Leer 100XQ and 100R for a 2003 model. I also wanted the 100XL myself but it is only made for models up to 2002. Canucks might make a different model, not sure, but check these pics out, it is of a Leer 100XQ

http://www.dodge-diesel.org/yabbse/a...s/Mvc-009f.jpg

Hunter

Pardon me on saying Patriot Blue was not offered anymore. My memory faded a bit last night. According to this url, Patriot Blue is on indefinite restriction for Dodge RAMS - estimated 8 to 10 weeks lead time.

I checked out the link. So DG8 is the new transmission? And it's going to be an option on both engines? Does this mean it can be ordered as of 01/02/03?

Bulabula, Hunter, you both have some really nice rigs! That gives me the motivation to sell my soul for one of these babies. I think that, Lord willing, I'll go for the Patriot Blue on Silver, no offense Hunter it's just that I like the darker blue over light -- spoiled by "Onyx over Pewter" on my old Tahoe I suppose.

My only wish was that the Sport package came in Patriot Blue...now THAT would be sweet!

Hunter, I love Daisy's cap...do truck and cap have sliders? I think I'll grab the Raider Nomad 2 (see pic linked below) with the lined option (grey astroturf-like stuff) and roof rack (I know, too SUV-like but I like the look and I did use the rack on the Tahoe a fair bit, inside space notwithstanding).

Hopefully the deed is close to being done! [undecided]

Cheers,
DT

DNAT, Patriot Blue is now on an indefinite production hold. If you order that color they will not schedule a build date until after it is removed from hold. Could be next summer before they build it. DYou might want to rethink your color choice.

DNAT

Nope, no slider on the truck or the topper.
How in heck would you reach across the quad cab to even open the slider, much less the topper!

Besides, had Ferd with slider into topper and they both leaked.

So, no more sliders for me!

Oyster sliders maybe

Hunter

I have a slider . Found a great use for it. Sometimes I need to laul a long piece of lumber or pipe say 12 ft long. With the slider open and tail gate down I have plenty of room without hanging a red flag.
Ferds leak this is a Dodge.

The sliders are great when you have a cap with a slider to match. Put the blown up swim tube between and talk with the kids in the back - - I mean the dogs in the back.

Re:Is the automatic OK? (again, I know, sorry)
Actually guys, Raider makes a large silicone-foam gasket that completely seals the topper to the cab, no leaks -- guaranteed! ;D I was thinking along the lines that SierrPhil mentioned...long stuff from bed into cab. My heritage is Scottish so you never know when I might want to haul a kaber (half a telephone pole) to chuck around at the campsite.

SierrPhil, yeah...may rethink the Pat Blue thing...shame though, it's a nice colour! Now I'm thinking Sport package in Graphite or Black, if I can't have Pat Blue. Always was a fan of Sport Rams in Black.

Cheers,
DT
