Auto-Tranny Trouble

My auto tranny sometimes seems not to downshift completely. From a stop, acts like it is starting in 2nd or 3rd. I can manually shift to 1, 2, D and she does fine. It is an intermitting problem and a pain in the rear. any suggestions?

Governor pressure solenoid and/or transducer is the usual culprit.

GP solenoid probablly occasionally hanging and allowing a few PSI leak into governor circuit. Easy fix while doing a tranny service. Make sure get latest part number. It was upgraded a couple years ago. JMHO
