auto to 6spd swap?
My buddy might be picking up an 06 single cab long bed with a 6spd and I have a feeling he isnt going to like the 6spd but the truck is a GREAT price, so I figure this could be my chance to make the swap. Anyone done it yet? Its 06 to 06 swap so the interior stuff that needs to be changed should be there...
is it just like a regular swap or is there computer stuff involved? I know the pedal assemblies will need to change and shifters but anything else?

LOLz, good luck on that swap Tim.
Column, pedals, hydraulics, harness, (computer), and im sure a few more misc things(not sure if the cluster needs to be changed, or if its just programed out with the pcm/column to not show the PRNDL jazz)
Who's buying the '06?
It would be 100x easier to just buy a 6spd
If I could swap in a nv4500 in mine, affordable, with little downtime, id do it.

well whatever he wants I would buy instead of swapping trannies. if the truck is a great deal, buy it and clean it up and sell it, make some money then get an auto if thats what he wants. I wouldnt attempt to change one over. Ive heard the G56 trannies in the 05.5 and newer 6 speeds arent as strong as the previous NV5600. my first dodge was a single cab, sometimes I wish I would have never traded it in
