Um, my tailgate says HEAVY DUTY. But its only a 2500, guess you got one of those wimpy 3500s. I would have thrown that tailgate emblem in their faces.

You can try most auto parts stores. They will have either "Smart Blend" or "Lube Guard" either will work, I just prefer "Smart Blend". If you can not find it at a auto parts store try your local transmission shop. It is a little pricey, I get $15.00 for a bottle of it, but it works super. I had a 47RE two weeks ago with 2nd gear starts, one bottle of "Smart Blend" and one mile down the road and the second gear starts were history.

If you get "Smart Blend" or "Lube Guard" in the black bottle you can mix it with dexron / mercon atf and turn it into atf+4.

Dave doesn't use stock clutches either so you can use aftermarket oils additives on his rebuilds. In fact if you don't tell Dave you want X brand of oil he uses bulk and adds an additive. When I was there I asked him to use ATF+4 so he did in my tranny. I've tried to get 3 different shops around me locally to flush mine but none would. They're all afraid the dodge tranny would drop out and that they have to build it on their dime. I think it's the dodge clutches that are picky about the oil. Seeing as how Dave used Kevlar clutch packs in mine I don’t have that problem now but I still only will use ATF+4 though but thats just me.
