Anyone have pics of the stock Dual Mass Flywheel setup?

I'm yanking my single mass this weekend and reverting back to stock.

I bought the LuK OE kit for the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate/pilot and release bearing etc. Part number 05-182. I then ordered the Flywheel adapter plate 52104720AE, the drive backing plate 4798968, and 8 flywheel bolts 5085962AA.

That should be everything I need- but if anybody has pictures of what it looks like apart and assembled, that would really help me out.

Thanks!

I asked LuK back in '07 to produce a 60+ hp dmf for us. Just a bit stronger. The contact person said he'd submit it to marketing. Guess it's not going to happen.
I went smf @ 37k after a small rear main leak. The installer said the stocker was like new. 2000# constant load,Smarty #3,285 tires.
Guess I'm easy on clutches. I miss that silent tranny.

Has anyone given thought to look into a DMF from a medium class truck? Or even if they offer one. IDK yet, but when time comes I will be looking into it, as I like the smoothness of the DMF, and the fact it's easier on the G56 for longevity compared to the conventional flywheel for the NV5600.

Fullmoon I agree- I can't imagine there aren't negative effects to the transmission given the noise I heard from mine with the single mass in it. That kind of vibration can't be good- after all- why is a harmonic damper so critical on the crank at the front of the engine but not at the rear? I upgraded my damper to the 6.7L style during this trial and error process and the reduction in noise from the clutch was noticeable- not drastic, but definitely noticeable. I'm also excited to be getting back my fuel efficiency. I saw about a 15% reduction in miles per gallon running the single mass.

The OE LuK kit I bought is the listed part for all Cummins G56 applications- including the current Ram 4500. There is no power rating, but given the new Rams have 25 more horsepower- it seems safe to assume it holds more than stock on my 2006.

I took pics, made notes, and will post a write up on the reversal process soon.

I scored the LuK kit on Amazon- it was $458 with prime shipping- currently though it's $530- so when I buy again (I plan to own this truck a long time), I'll put it in a wish list and watch the price since it must jump around. Parksgeek.com lists the price at $498. It includes the Dual mass flywheel- which I was quoted $800 for at Dodge.

The Drive backing plate- 4798968 was $30- the flex plate / flywheel adapter plate 52104720AE was $75. Plus bolts- another $50. So to just do the clutch flywheel setup- a bit over $600.

My friend still has his. The trans is silent and clutch engagement is silky smooth. Poking through parking lots and bogging the truck yields no noise.
