Anybody try makin their own 8-10 lug wheel adapters ????
Due to the high cost of these adapters, I was looking into having some made. I am in the process of checking the costs of the wheel studs, machining cost, getting all the specs and such..... My main dead end has been : What type of material to use ???? Obviously steel, but what type of steel ? There are all different types, and I would not want to use the wrong stuff. I need to find out so I can get my pricing and see if I should have my own made. I have a slight advantage here because my dad would be the one doing the machine work so the labor part will be low, PLUS I have 3 other buddys with dodges that would buy a set if they were cheap enough and I am told that once you make the cnc program, the rest is cake.
Any knowledge in this area would be greatly appreciated as my specialty is wood, NOT steel. :-) Thanks, Dan
