Sounds like something that would be nice to be able to do. Sadly though, I wouldn't be suprised if the 68 costs more in stock form than a full billet 48 built to perfection by your prefered tranny shop.

Thats my 0.019 cents (with inflation its not really 2 cents anymore)

We'd all love to do this but the 68re has a lot of computer controlled functions that our 5.9 trucks cannot control. I've seen a couple stock 68res for sale for good prices and if I find one locally, and funds permit, I will pick it up and store it until someone comes out with a conversion kit. I had this trans in the 08 truck I used to own and I think it was perfect for a stock or close to stock truck.
I'm sure someone is working on this.......

There have been a few other posts on this subject in the last 6 months. No one has an answer yet. We've all heard that Suncoast was working it.

I called them about 9 months ago. I was told not yet but it was coming.

So, we'll have to wait and see. Its going to have to be a box intercepting and converting data from the 5.9 computer like some of the programers do.

Trouble is, you can build it all you want and it still only has 4 speeds. That's the problem.
