Any info on a trans shop?

I have a trans (48RE) that has 150,000 on it and the torque converter is going out (it wants to lock up in 2nd gear). I found debris ,most likely from the TC , in the pan. I don't know what other damage has been done to the trans so I want to do a fresh rebuild on it to be on the safe side and have piece of mind. Does anyone have any input on what torque converter and rebuild kit to go with and where to get it done at. I live in Ogden,Kansas which is in between Ft.Riley and Manhattan.

Looks like you are about 90 miles from Lawrence, KS. I have heard that John Isaacs shop..... Floor It Diesel..........builds DTT transmissions. http://www.flooritdiesel.com/index2.html

You might give him a call. I have never used him, but I have heard good things.
