Any Michigan 48RE trans shop recomendations?
I'm not due just yet, but with this new toy hauler being close to 18,000lbs, my MC is going to need a decent trans upgrade sooner or later. I could feel it's pain in the Smokies this past weekend. I'm not even sure what all I really need let alone a good shop to do it around here. I'd buy a full built trans from someplace (??) if needed (??), but I'll still need someone (??) to install it for me.
Any thoughts on any of it? It's always been a lousy shifting trans IMO.

I'll throw out another vote for HTS. I have one customer making 700hp+ on 40 in tires and his full billet trans is holding up great. Another customer of mine has one of his milder setups and pulls a 5th wheel to southern Texas and back quite a bit. I believe that he got a good single disc converter, billet input, and valve body and was in and out in less than a day.

First 18,000 lb 5er on a SRW? better watch your rear axle weights.
Second, i plan on going with HTS this summer when i get some time to drop my trans. heard alot of good things about them.
