Are all billet shafts the same?
I'm having a local shop build my 48re, I know we'll be doing billet input and output shafts but im not sure which brand to go with. Any ideas? Could you guys list what you have and what shafts you have broke?

"Opie" shafts seem to have the best reputation.

The answer to your question is NO! They are not all the same. Take your time and do some research on them before deciding.

Depends on the make up of the alloys in the steel that the shafts were cut from. There are all types of grades of steel.

TCS is who I got mine from. Other tranny guys use there shafts and sell them under their name. I save a couple hundred and have had good luck.
