Just got the drop in from Geno's, however it didn't come with any maintenance instructions. I know there is a kit for these, but aren't these like K&N's as far as taking care of them?
Warm soapy water to clean, let air dry, spray on filter oil.
Can K&N oil be used?

 

Yes, yes, yes, yes, & yes. Cleaning and caring for the K&N, AFE, Volant, Air Raid, etc are all the same. If you know how to clean and re-oil one, you know how to do all .

 

When I ran the AFE I used my old K&N Recharger kit. From what I've read the K&N cleaner seems to work much better than the AFE does....

 

Yep, just used my old K&N cleaning kit on my son's AFE. Someone once posted that the K&N kit is better than the AFE cleaning kit.
