well the ac compresser locked up on are 2006 2500 4x4 ctd automatic to day changed it out with reman from dodge whent pretty good . problem now it needs to charged , i tryed using the little cans do it urself stuff wont take it in . the clutch does not cycle on and off . is there a fuse or relay some were that could be blown when it lock up ??? there is nothing in the fuse block under the hood???? is there a nother fuse panel some were ??

 

you need to evacuate the system first of air and moister or you will have serious problems later. Any moister in system will freeze and also cause corrosion and contaminate the dryer. Proper fill also required since over charge or undercharge will cause lack of cooling also. Clear any codes in the PCM and TIPM since a shorted clutch will cause the TIPM to disable the clutch driver circuit. Clearing the code will allow normal operation if the system is properly charged. Fill amount is on label affixed to radiator support on passenger side of vehicle. You need a vacuum for 15 minutes min. Make sure it will hold vacuum before charging system.
