A/C compresser shuts down...

...when driving with higher outside temps, towing or not. Only does it when the outside temp is over 80ish. Blows very cold when working. Air always comes out of the vents it just gets slowly warm until the compressor comes back on. It's a 98 12 valve; any known problems. I've searched the threads and nothing fits my description. What's the best way to clean/flush the radiator and condenser?

low pressure? there's a hobs type pressure switch in there somewhere that will cut power to the compessor clutch in the event of pressure loss to save the compressor. try a recharge.

I've the same problem right now with my 02' 24 Valve. Also, if the blower speed is reduced on warm days, the compressor kicks out. Won't come back in until you turn the AC off for a minute or so then turn it back on.

Just replaced a leaky hi-side line and charged it perfectly - 30 oz. Low side pressure switch is no longer reliable, I think. When these switches go out, they often fail to close reliably, though they will continue to open just fine.
