what to do if ball joint bore on axle is sloppy?

i just got my carli ball joints. i pressed out the old xrf pieces of manure (**** in 16,000 km). anyways the top will be a snug interference press fit, but both lowers can be put in by hand. they will actually fall out unless i put snap ring on. do i coat them with green loctite or JB weld (epoxy). or just never seize and leave it? i dont know what to do and truck is apart

I done my 03 4x4 a few weeks ago...none of em just "fell out", top or bottom, but not too difficult with the correct press. and putting em in, I heated up the housing with a bottle torch (not a cutting torch so dont get too hot) just enough with a little bottle, and had the balljoints in the freezer a few hours prior to install, they go in pretty easy that way... I didnt use any epoxy but did neverseize em for what its worth.

you dont understand what i mean. i got the NEW CARLI ball joints in my hand. when i goto press them in the bottom i dont have to because i can put them in by hand. they actually almost wobble in the axle bore. i dont need a torch if anything i need to FREEZE the axle. get what i mean? the axle bore holes on the bottom are more than a slip fit. should i add epoxy jb weld or green loctite sleeve retainer to the bottom carli ball joints?

I don't think any kind of epoxy or loctite will hold those suckers in. Having just replaced mine I know how tight they are going in and coming out. Have you called Carli and talked to them about it?

Yea I agree, sounds like they either sent you the wrong ones or your joint holes are in bad shape. No way they should be loose at all....Definitely be giving them a call, and I understand your in a tight spot with the truck apart, but I think if you went ahead with it your gonna have big problems, not to mention ruining new BJoints, and parts on your truck.......

Ask Carli about tack welding the ball joint and see what they say. I cant see a tack weld hurting that ball joint.
