9.25 AAM axle

Does anyone have a manual on a 9.25 front axle? Want to pull mine apart to take the dually spacer out and would like to have in hand part numbers and specs before doing it. Thanks!

I just did the gears on mine. I could forward a copy of the manual in pdf - shoot me a pm with e-mail.

Dually spacer???? You mean on the front hub? That simply gets unbolted from the axle.

The pinion seal? That's a tough one. Many people just use an impact to remove, replace seal and impact back on. Problem is getting the correct nut torque. The manual will give rotational torque specs with just the pinion with no carrier and then pinion with carrier both of which you really can't use because you are not going to pull the half-shafts out. So...you may want to get a torque wrench to measure what you have BEFORE removing the nut which will be your re-tighten torque. This will be difficult as the crush sleave will be used so getting the torque right will be tricky.

I just did the gears on my truck and I have to say these AAM axles have been the easiest to work on. Side pre-load is done using nuts not spacers. Much easier then the conventional GM axles I'm used to working on.
