75-90 or 75-140?
Coming from a 2wd 1500 I used Mobil1 75-140 since it called for it and the 2500 calls for 75-90...
Not really a problem to switch but I would think the thicker the better? and I have 6qts of the stuff at home not used... No receipt...
Being I live in California, Light to moderate off road 2 or 3 times a month, highway and very light towing (family boat) wouldn't 75-140 work?!?!
What do you put in your front and rear diff?

75 - 140 will be fine. It is used more by people that tow real heavy. I run the 75-90 front and rear. I don't tow heavy but I do have higher temps in the summer time but don't have any issues.
it is not going to be a problem. Normally only the folks that tow heavy in hot climates use it. I would typically say just use the 90w if you were buying it, but since you need to use the 140w up, put it in and don't look back.
Checked the price of the 75-140 (17.99 @ pep boys) quick chat with the manager was able to return the 6 bottles n get the 75-90 8qt at that and some change in my pocket.
