48RE Tranny Question/Trouble

Yesterday I noticed my '03 (108,000 miles) was not downshifting into first gear at stoplights and I felt a little bump as I sat there...delayed downshift. It intermittenly did this a couple of more times on the way home from work and occasionally didn't shift down to first at all. I got home checked the fluid and cycled the gearshift and transfer case too, as I had used 4X4 earlier that day and everything seemed normal again...Hmmm??? Today I drove about 30 miles to work and the thing completely stopped downshifting to first gear...I'm starting out in second...All other shifts/gears are normal. I've read that this could be a pressure solonoid or pressure transducer problem? Or have I lost a band??? Any body got a clue as to what I'm looking at here?

here are some possibilities:
1. Governor Circuit Electrical Fault. Test with DRBT scan tool and repair as
required.
2. Valve Body Malfunction. Remove, clean and inspect. Look for
sticking 1-2 shift valve, 2-3 shift valve,
governor plug or broken springs.
3. Front Servo Piston Cocked in
Bore. Inspect servo and repair as required.
4. Front Band Linkage Malfunction - Inspect linkage and look for bind in
linkage.

I was thinking it might be the band too...they have been adjusted previously by the dealership, but it's hard these days to get something done right unless you do it yourself.

No Mods...stock drivetrain...this morning the tranny is operating in first gear again...but I am getting the little ocassional bump after I stop as it delays downshifting. Could this problem be temperature related as the fluid has cooled down??? Anyway, I have decided to drop it off at the dealership and have them look at it on Monday. I'll weigh in on what they have to say and then figure out what I'm going to do.
