First post, have a question....
Hi everyone!! I've owned my truck for about 1 1/2 years now. This morning, (almost did not want to start too cold!), I was driving down the road and the "Malfunction Indicator Light" went on. Amazing how the book just shows the picture but doesn't tell you what it means?!?!? I also noticed that my trans didn't shift right, from first gear to second. You could hear it pushing, but the rest of the gears were good. This happened till the first store, (20 min.), second store (19 min drive, but, I noticed it shifted better. After I left the second store, the light went out, and its been okay since. Whys this?

If you got a light you can cycle the key three times(turn key to setting just before it cranks) on then off, on then off, on then off and you will get the code to pop up on the guage cluster.

If you start and let warm up before you leave, make sure you shift into N while warming up. This should allow the tranny to circulate and warm up as well...so I've heard.
